I ordered a SHOnut ceramic TOB from Josh and I guess the plastic pins either got lost or never came in the kit.

Would I be able to get these small white pins that hold the TOB at a local store same day or is this a special order item in a TOB repair kit??

Dont worry, the plastic TOB pins are not very important - Im sure you will be able to find something at a local hardware store to do the job. The pins simply aid keeping the TOB on the quill sleeve while you are hooking the tranny back up to the engine. In fact, if you can successfully keep the TOB on the quill sleeve (easy to do) during tranny install, there is no need for the pins at all.

The plasic pins were included with my clutch release shaft bushings - make sure you check this bag for em(if you ordered them in the first place)

good luck!

If you do not have the pin on the TOB it will rotate off the clutch fork on a fast engagement... the pin is needed.

See this post . There were several ideas put forth as to what to use in place of the plastic pin. As explained further in the post, there is advice from Gary M. that the pin is useless once the tranny is bolted in place.

As I recall, my TOB pin was in with the Teflon bushings that I had ordered from SHONUT. It was not packaged with the Ceramic TOB.

It wasn't in my ceramic bushings either... The TOB always has tension after the tranny is in. so the pin is not going to pull it away from the PP it is just there to aid in installation.

Why don't you just do some research before whining? ****, I picked up 32 of em the other day. Many local dealers have the .55 cent piece.
