im doing a clutch job in my 91 soon and ive got a few questions.
the transmission is leaking fluid from an unknown seal.
so while i have it out,id like to go ahead and replace all the gaskets

from what i understand theres 4 right? input shaft seal,2 axle seals, and the shifter shaft seal or what ever you call it??

can these seals be instaled by myself easily or should i drop the trans. at a shop and have them do it??

You will have tranny out for clutch install?

Do them yourself.

Maybe PM Bizzy to see if there are any gotchas.

Yes but remember the 2 halves of the tranny (between) might leak too. So it's a 5th place it could leak.

is there a seal there too?

No the two case halves are sealed with anaerobic gasket maker.

Unless the tranny has been apart, IMHO, there is a 95% chance that the axle seals are the problem. Sometimes the input shaft seal (speedo sensor) will leak due to the shaft vibrating itself loose.

Where the **** do you buy this stuff???!! I was at 8 parts stores here in queens, and not a one had this stuff. My tranny is out, and I wanted to replace the tension pins in the diff (the diff pins have some axial play that I'm not especially enthusiased about :omg: ).
