smoke with high vacuum is an indicator of bad valve stem seals. I would try some seal conditioner and hope that it will soften the seals, but most likely it will need valve stem seals.

there are engines galore, you just have to search a little. the 3.2 from the automatic cars can be used as well - if you search you will find threads about the adaptations that need to be done to pull off that swap.

rings on these cars may get sticky, but typically do not wear to the point of needing replaced, so you will likely be better off to just put seals in the engine you have.

welcome to the forum and good luck!

We have lots of parts and even engines if needed: SHO Source

You might want to first start looking for leaking gaskets, maybe the valve cover gasket.

Sounds like valve stem seals to me.
You can drop the car off at my shop, and pick it up all fixed.

smoke out the tailpipes with high vacuum (coasting or idling, for example) are indicators of bad valve stem seals.

smoke from under the hood is an indicator of leaking gaskets - valve cover gaskets, camshaft seals, crankshaft seal are the ones that typically leak on these engines.

dont see any leaks under the hood....most is coming out the tailpipes....i used a quart of ATF ...was told that might help the seals

Switch to a conventional high mileage motor oil. It has seal conditioner in it that is designed to help with this problem. It can take a few thousand miles to tell if it's going to be successful or not. Do not use synthetic motor oil; it gets past the seals more easily.
