More MAF trouble.

Ok, once again, my car is acting up with the MAF plugged in. I just replaced the wiring harness with a brand new unit from Ford. And the sensor is a 75mm Bullet, which is 3 months old.

This is what is happening- on the highway, the car will all of sudden not respond to the throttle, I let off for a few seconds, and all is well again. About 10 seconds later, same thing all over again. When it's about to act up, the CEL goes out(it stays on ever since I installed the SAFC). When it drives regular again, the light goes back on. No codes except my normal 157. These damn MAF's, I'm about to run a straight pipe from the filter to my throttle body and have an LPM burned for no MAF useage. Just keep it in open loop.

Any suggestions???

What code? Why don't you reinstall the original MAF?

Even after installing the original MAF, it still does this. So it's not the MAF unit. I think it may have to do with the EEC. And ever since installing the SAFC, I always get a 157, MAF signal too weak.
