Thanks...for now untill I get a job I can't do anything else. The way I have the intake now works for me. Its better than with the sax. Eventually I will replace with three inch pipe. The exhaust I may try gutting for now but would like to follow with stright pipe evenually but. Untill I get a job I can only do things that cost me time. Sucks cause there are some things I want right now. (In my mind I need them) but for the time being ill just enjoy what the car does best moving from point A to point B. With the guy and his suped up honda civic in my rear view of course.:)

I understand completely. I have been wanting some 17 inch msr 044 wheels in black and a Doug Lewis transmission but the money is never there. Oh well, maybe someday.

Just curious what is the cost for one of the FPS trannys installed. And also how long and what size spade bit would be best. To drill it out. If I can do it that way for now would be great I might like it so much I just keep it that way.

I think I used a 1 inch spade bit. Not sure of the length but the cat is not very deep. It breaks up fairly quick.

According to the website, a transmission from FPS is $2799, not sure if that is installed or not.

I relized I never updated this. I holowed out the third cat about two and half months ago I just droped it from the flex pipe and used a cobination of spade bits and a long flat head to knock apart the last few chunks I couldn't pull out and then vacuumed it out. Put it back together with a new gasket. And fired it up. The intake and exaust seem to be more even but noticbly louder. Easy mod to accomplish and feels quicker as well.

Now the reason for posting has anyone had experience with magnaflow mufflers on these cars? I found some magnaflow 13235 xl turbo satin stainless steel 2.25 offset on amazon for 49.47. Is this a good deal and will they work and sound nice. I'm looking for that louder than stock, mellow but bark when you get on it sound. And these have been on my wishlist for awhile.

I have a single Magnaflow 3 inch "race" muffler. Make sure you have the exhaust exit PASSED the rear of the bumper or you will get an incredible drone. I have all the cats in place and pretty much an axle back 3 inch and it really isn't that loud, but people know I have a V8 in there. I have 2 bullit pro turbos with welded stock tips if you are interested in that setup. I had a weld rust out and had this Magnaflow laying around and went for it instead of fixed the Y back there. Fake duals never interested me anyway. They were mellow and sounded great. Weren't really loud to me though.

That looks nice. I Have been looking at getting a set of bulit muffs but couldn't seem to find a set at a decent price. The things I've read on v8sho seem to say bullets sound best. But are more exspensive. I had been thinking magnaflows or flowmasters. I was just planning on replacing the mufflers no other tubing but keeping the stock tips. I am looking for a bit louder than stock but more bark when you get on it. The magnaflows I'm looking at are a three tube design are the bulits a straight through design?

They were on it when I bought it. Turbo mufflers are generally straight through so I am going to say they are. They have all of the mounts already welded on as well. PM me if you are interested.
