From spring rates I have seen the intrax, eibachs, and moogs rates are all very close. It's just price that varies and the amount dropped. I'm sure he means cutting with something other than a torch so spring rates will stay the same just the car will be lower. Also get tokico's or koni's they are on ebay tokicos usually go for $400 a set. I know you only wanna spend $150 for fronts, but trust me lowering that much will screw kyb's or monroes sooner or later, do it right the first time and enjoy good handling :thumb:

Oops...don't forget that the ATX and MTX drops a little differently since the springs are different lengths and the cars weigh differently, also...If I remember correctly, my ATX dropped about 7/8" all the way around with 1.5 coils cut from the fronts and 1 coil from the rears...or the other way around...Dale, help me out there!

Oh, and both Dale and I have Tokico struts...we love the whole setup!

Gary, id expect more of a drop out of an ATX than an MTX. the ATX weighs a few hundred pounds more than the MTX. engine weights are about the same though. youre right on cutting 1 1/5 from the front and 1 from the rear. Murph also has the same setup on his track car and he loves it. on my 91 MTX, i got a 2" drop all the way around. of course that is using the Moog CC858 on the front and the CC839 on the rear. i cant comment on the other Moog springs (no experience).

Yep, the springs are different, including the spring rates. How on earth do you get a jack under the car? I have to use my scissor jack to get her started...
