Hey. i know many of you guys have modded your fog light switch so that they turn on with the parking lamps but has anyone ever had any problems that came about because of it. Is there any possibility of the wiring overheating, especially with both high beams and fog lights on, or is there really no chance of any problems. Thanks

Any decent fog lamp kits come with a aux power relay and draw power strait from the battery. At that point the only power you are drawing from the switch is just to turn on this relay. If yours dont have a relay one can be purchased cheaply and you can run your own wires.

In my car the fogs have there own relay built into the circuit anyway. I cannont remember how exactly its wired ( havent seen that schematic in a while) but as long as your feeding the power to the turn on lead then you should be fine.

All your doing with the fog light mod is using the park light power as a source to close the fog lamp solenoid rather than the low beam head light power.
