My 93 MTX just lately started misfiring/hesitating around 2-3k RPMs. I checked the front 3 plugs and found oil in #5 (the middle one) I won't have access to a garage until this weekend, so I haven't checked the back 3 plugs for oil yet. I cleaned out all the oil I could out of #5, but it's still misfiring. I'm a little low on money at the moment, so I'm looking for the cheapest solution to this. I'm sure it's too late to get the gasket set by this weekend, but should I go ahead and get new plugs/wires?? Any help/advice will be appreciated.

I would replace the plugs, due to the oil, and probably the wires. I think it would be a waste if you didn't replace the plug well seals and valve cover gaskets when you had the intake manifold off. If you put the new plugs in before you replaced the seals you might ruin them depending on how bad they are leaking. Then you would be spending more money. It's better to do it right the first time. FOr the felpro gasket set go to SHOnutperformance.com, and for the plugs/wires go to fordpartsnetwork.com. good luck thumbs_u

The oil in the plug wells doesn't bother the plugs, but it does affect the plug wires. You can clean the oil out of the wells and from the inside of the plug boots with a solvent such as intake cleaner. The real fix is to replace the plug well seals (and valve cover gaskets) the wires and possibly the plugs if they are due for replacement or have evidence of "arc tracking.".

You didn't mention a CHECK ENGINE light and if it never lit, you are on the right track with the plugs and wires.
