Even after changeing my plugs and wires i still get a sharp loss and gain of power when the car is still cold, like a plug/wire issue it goes away after the engine has been spun up. Is it possible for a coil pack to grow weak being that its most likily original?

yeah there was oil in the wells but cleaned it all out before i even took the old plugs out and made sure there was nothing in there that could fall into the cylinder

Well you probably should've changed the valve cover gasket and the plug well seals but.... did you get the spark plugs back in the correct order? If you used the chilton's order... it's wrong.

Yeah i wired them up all right, i would notice somthing as drastic as that, this misfire is just enough to annoy you. And occurs when you get on it from a stop or slow crawl, somthing else to note is that my exhaust has more holes than swiss cheese

The oil in the plug wells have most likely damaged your wires. I would fix the leaks and get new wires.

No when he said replace the wires, you have oil in the plug wells, which is caused by seals under the valve cover that prevent oil from getting into the plug wells going bad. They get old over time and then oil will leak into the wells, and it gets worse over time. This oil also destroys plug wires very quickly, and its possible yours are already going bad due to the oil. So you need to change the plug well seals, and the valve cover gaskets, and then probably replace your wires as they've probably gone bad from the oil, then the misfire will most likely go away, unless of course the dis module is bad, but, I wouldn't jump to that conclusion just yet.

I cleaned them out very well when i did the tune up, i havent looked in a couple days but i dont think that there is that much oil in them already. I am definitly going to replace the seals when i get the chance, I work a lot during the summer and taking the the top half of the engine off just isnt possible for me right now.
