Guys I'm struggling with intermittent misfire codes 2010 . Primarily now cylinder 6. All plugs, coil packs, fuel pump and 1 02 sensor have been replaced. Generally happens unload consistently, check engine light flashes ,loses power . Let off the pedal and it continues to flash and clears. No heavy foot from there. Appreciate any help.

I don't know if this will help, but a few years ago on my 2013 N/A Taurus I went through rounds of misfires on multiple cylinders, also if I accelerated to hard after a cold start the car would go into limp mode. I changed all plugs, coils, then eventually the injectors. Wasn't until a dealer mechanic suggested i change the ECM/PCM, I did and the issues where resolved. He stated it was a rare fluke where the board will develop cracks, gaps in the lead on the board and short out. Cost for eBay ECM and them to program was all total about $150 bucks.

Thank you for replying, I had the Injectors cleaned if that's what you mean. Would you mind clarifying concerning the fuel supply?
Fuel Supply - You replaced the pump (assuming LPFP). How is your pressure at the HPFP/injectors? Did you replace things like the strainer while you were doing the pump? Most of that should affect all 6 cylinders. If it is running right on the edge though, that could be the final straw. Beyond that, I would say it starts getting a lot more complicated. Going to have to start looking at misfire counts, signals, freeze frame data, compression/leak down tests, etc

My codes per caused by the timing belt being stretched all the way out; that might be your issues, especially on a 2010. It's a super expensive service point but it fixed EVERYTHING that was silly with my 2015.

Do you have access to an SCT handheld to datalog? It will be able to paint a better picture of what's going on without randomly replacing things. There are so many factors that go into combustion, and while it sounds like you have done your due diligence with the ignition, there is potential for a vacuum leak after the throttle body or even a fuel delivery issue that can likewise cause the issue.

Does your exhaust have a smell to it? How do the spark plugs look currently?
