It first was hard to start, like it was possibly flooded with fuel. Got the SHO running with help of manupilating throttle. Went for a blast on freeway eng.light starts coming off and on, not running rough and lots of power. Go to park car and idle starts surging. I know the spark plugs and wires are still original. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the codes, that will tell you more than we could.:munch:

I've purchased an new ECT, but I'm reluctant to change until I test orig. ECT sensor.
I cleared the codes and eveything seems to be o.k. I put 45 miles and car drives great,
although I did not rev past 4k yet. I did notice with the ECAT in off pos. the car temp.
rised to above where it normally sits.

Those codes don't make sense to me, since they are complaining about ECT circuit being both grounded and open, and about LH bank both rich and lean.

Now that you have cleared them, drive it for a week, and pull the codes again, even if no CEL, and let us know what it says.
