Hey everyone, my name's Jordan and I'm looking at buying a 1993 SHO. It's bone stock, but missing some stuff. Right now it has 157,*** miles, it needs a new axle (which i hear is cheap), it has some interior problems (very worn leather, dash cracks, sunroof control panel isn't there). It also stalls at low speeds and rpms can get a little weird, now when i took it for a drive it had almost no gas and the person i might be buying it from said it was probly the fuel filter. The car is $1500 but i'm gunna try to get it for $1200. If anyone has any other ideas what's wrong with it give me some insight that'd be very appreciated. i have access to every tool thinkable pretty much, everything from plasma cutters to hydraulic car lifts (my cousins are pretty well off) and i can use any of it whenever i want pretty much, my dad and his brothers and my cousins are all pretty mechanically inclined so we could probly fix most of the stuff ourselves, if not we have a friend who's a mech. so any info. it also has pretty loose stearing and baaaaad brakes, but when i brought that up to the seller he brought up the axle. any incite? thanks!

Give people more time than 1 hour to reply, and posting in the correct forum should help (General SHO Related for this one most likely).

Anyway good luck on your purchase and welcome to SHOForum.

$1500 is way to high IMO. We paid $750 for hers-213k, ALL records, MINT int, Excellent ext, NO rust new tires and needed nothing. $1500 for SHO that has lots of problems already is nuts I mean- axle $50=$70 new, brakes all around $150, new seats $100-$300, not to mention the maint. that more than likely hasn't been done could cost easily $1200. Offer $500 cash otherwise walk away and spend your $1200 on a SHO that doesn't need alot of work. Trust me they are out there. That's my .02

E-bay, J-yard, parted out SHO's. IMO, mileage isn't an issue as long as it was maintained. If a car is taken care of it will SHOw by how it runs/drives/looks.
