First a quick background, I bought my Plus in Jan of 2002 and started making many modifications to it. Everything was going well, and I had the car back together and running, but there was some “timing issues”.
I was then mobilized with my National Guard unit so I could not continue to work on my car. I employed a well trusted local mechanic to help me out. He is a qualified and competent mechanic, but had not worked with SHO’s before. After a couple months and a decent amount of money, he had actually done more things wrong than right so I made a trip home and picked up my SHO, not running.
As many here on the forum know, I then took my car to MidwestSHO. I told Mike the issues and I also had a couple boxes of parts that I had acquired since I left. Now, a couple months later, I finally made the trip back to MidwestSHO and picked up my car.
I can not even begin to list all of the things that they has done to my car in the time they have had it. I will just say that Mike and Mike have encountered more than a few major issues of which the forum has been of great help and I could not be happier with the service and professionalism. You can read a little more about my car in the link below in my signature.
A side note, if you are not one of those who has the time or inclination to work on your own SHO, it is worth your time and a little extra money to find and use a shop that specialize or has experience in SHO’s.
I am planning at this time to attend the Convention, provided the Army does not come up with some last minute requirement. I look forward to meeting with everyone.
