Well, I'm having problems with my multi-function switch, I think. BUT, I changed the switch and I'm still having problems. Pretty much, when I turn on the car, sometimes the blinkers will both stay on, solid. Along with that, The EATC and the clock will not work. And the windshield wipers will not work. When I plugged the new MFS in, I was able to squirt the windshield washer fluid, but then the windshield wipers would not wipe. And now I can't get the windshield wipers to work. With the old MFS installed, the problems would sometimes go away after a little bit of driving, but it's starting to drive me insane.

I recorded a video of it, but I can't seem to get it uploaded. I'll post it if I ever figure it out.

Does anyone have any ideas what it could be?

Thanks.

Did you clean the switch inside? With the Eatc and clock not working also, sounds more like a wiring problem somewhere.Possibly a ground problem or one of the wires that feeds power to each one of those?

Are they all the same? or are there different pinouts for different applications? What kind of car is yours from?

I think the MFS from 91-up is differant then the 90-89 one. That sounds like a ground problem or a power wire possibly though with the MFS, Eatc, and clock going haywire.I remember its been ages ago I had a ford truck it had a wiring problem and it ended up toasting my wiring harness ,under the dash and I had to replace the whole thing.

LoL.. yea I should get a pic of the harness on my F-150 he got a little hot one day because someone rewired the starter circuit without a fuse link. I caught it in time.. seen the smoke from under the hood. 12volts is enough to melt things.. :) I agree tho, sounds like a wire issue, which really sucks. Good luck.

I helped NeedAPartsCar out with this. He's got a '95 SHO, and we pulled it out of a '95 GL, so everything should be the same as far as the pinouts go and stuff. But yeah, by the sounds of things, I think it is probably a wiring issue. Hopefully just a ground issue...

Yea I had an f-250 and when I saw the smoke from under the dash I knew it had it, the wires were melted together and it was a mess.I had to take out the dash and everything just to put in another harness.

I found this here though its the ground wiring diagrams

Wouldnt the MFS, Eatc, and clock all draw power from a common power wire to? Maybe going to the ignition or fuseblock?

I still have an odd issue on my truck tho.. as I have no power to the brake light circuit. Odd huh? PUtting a seperate 12v source on the Boo switch solved it tho. There are definately wiring issues in these Fords.
