Installing a snow meth kit and was wondering where the blue wire gets connected. The diagram I have says at the FRP I have been searching Google and can't find that info. Also where is a good place to tap in n to a boost line for a gauge.

Any info would be great.

Thanks

Finally figured it out. It is pin #2 on the connector on the front side of the intake. Small black wire next to the gray wire. Hope this helps.

Thanks so much Matt. I will be looking for that wire as soon as I get back to the sho. I will update when I get to work on it.

Thanks again.

Scotch locks are the devil. They pierce the wire and are not water proof. They can also damage the wire making a poor connction over time in addition to adding corrosion and high resistance. Although it works, removing the circuit, making a solder joint and then weatherproof shrink wrap or liquid electrical tape is the better way to go.

If you don' have weatherproof shrink wrap, buy low temp hot glue. Apply to joint and extend past joint, slide over shrink wrap and then shrink so the glue pushes out both ends.

Beat me to it! I was an RV service tech off and on for 12 years and the tales I could tell about having to repair wiring where those were used could go on for hours!

Side note: I see the OP dropped a screw for the MAP sensor. Oops! :(

It's also good practice to not make your connnection so close to the plug

When I wired up my Alky kit, I soldered all the connections, then used high temp electrical tape for all connections under the hood. Never had an issue over the course of the time I owned the car.

For tapping into the map sensor I used a new razor to cut and peel the jacket back... soldered the new connection into it. Easy peasy...
