Could I Use a Tee there so that I Could have both gauges working together or will that not be accurate due to the flow not being there.

Get some copper water sweat pipe and fittings. Install it in the line going to the heater core. The copper pipe will not restrict the flow like other types of pipe because it is a tubing based on ID dimension unlike pipe which is OD measured.

Not to be rude or anything, just for the record. Actually pipe is sized by the inside dia. Did you ever wonder why a 1/8 pipe is almost 1/2 actually .4" on the out side? Thats the oustide dia. Depending on what schedule the pipe is the inside should be close to 1/8.
