My coil is gone on my A/C compressor.

I assume that you have to purchase the "A/C compressore clutch" part as listed on rockauto and this includes the coil and not make separate purchases for the bearing, hub, etc.

Does anyone know the correct part number to replace the clutch/coil/hub
assembly on the '89 factory installed A/C compressor?

Rock Auto Lists the following:

FOUR SEASONS Part # 48853

The following are the Gen II Motorcraft part numbers, most (all?) of which are compatible with the Gen I:

  • A/C Clutch, Drive (Motorcraft YB-289-A)

  • A/C Clutch, Field Coil (Motorcraft YB-367-A)

  • A/C Clutch, Pulley (Motorcraft YB-314-A)

  • A/C Clutch, Bearing (Motorcraft YP-33-A)

You can always try to grab a used compressor in the WTB section (the whole thing) for a couple dollars , and make a quick swap.

Just a thought.
