stripped out the shift stabilizer boss. gonna need to helicoil it. was wondering if anyone has a helicoil kit i could use. called a shop by my house, they want $60 to do it, the kit is $60 for the tap and coils and install tool, and i only need the one.

Sorry, That is one tool I do not have. Can it be rented?

i dont believe so.

i think i'm just gonna have to suck it up and pay the piper... or... drill it out, tap it up a size and use a piece of like M14x1.5 all thread and double nut it on the other side of the stabilizer...

and order jose's brace.

tijuana tig job with low voltage 9018 to burn and some aluminum filler into the hole, then a 7/16 fine thread helicoil kit and a new grade 8 bolt with A LOT of thread locker.

i'll be looking to get one of Jose's braces or making one of my own soon.
