When I first take off when the car has sat for a few hours and cooled down. It has a bad stumble in the lower rpms and bogs heavily. I hit the secondaries and it comes back to life ok. A few miles down the road the issue is gone. This is only at partial pedal, maybe 1/2 pedal if even that much.

My money is on a bad or dirty MAF.

Simple test, unplug it. If it drives smooth with it unplugged, it is a MAF problem.

I did pull the codes on it when I was at work. Only one that I got was about a ground between the pcm and block or something. I can't find the paper I wrote it on and can't remember what the code was.

but for some reason this issue mainly just seems to happen in 1st gear. Just something when I first take off in the morning or after work.

I have to agree with Josh - it sounds like you have a severe lean condition at idle, possibly aggravated by a vacuum leak.

Pull the codes again and let us know what you find out.
