So I checked my codes about 3 weeks ago and got the dreaded 214/211

211 (M) Ignition PIP signal was erratic or missing - Ignition Systems

214 (M) Error in Cylinder ID (CID) circuit or signal - Ignition Systems

Annnnnd i've been driving it like that, well, today, the car died and i feared the worst... but it started back up again, and as I was driving home, on the freeway (so about 60-70 MPH) it would studder a bit, and the tach was a bit jumpy (which ive heard is another symptom) the engine speed was not increasing from what i could tell... i was in 5th, so for it to increase 500-1200 rpm as fast as it did, i thought would be impossible)

I checked codes, now that I am home and got 2 more codes...

during the first series i got

114 (O,R) IAT sensor out of range - IAT

(the temp was about 24 degrees, which ive heard can happen below 50 degrees)

126 (O,R,M) MAP or BARO sensor out of range - ">MAP

Now, i was going to replace the CPS, will that fix my 211/214 code, or should i look elsewhere, it seems wierd that the cam sensor and crank sensor code would show up, but my physical symptoms seem to be pointing exclusively to the crank, but i suppose it is possible that both failed at the same time... since there is hesitation

also is the BAP sensor another problem, or could it just be caused by the slew of other codes i got?...

thanks in advance

Bump for this thread, but not meant to hijack. I'm a noob when it comes to electroncis--but can someone explain the 214 code to me in laymen's terms: why, what, reason, etc.

Also, what are the negatives about driving for long periods of time/as well as distance with this CEL code?

It comes on within 5 minutes of a cold start. it's a 94 atx w/112k

Thanks.
