Okay im an idiot and somehow locked myself out of the car... I accidentaly cut all of the power locks/wires trying to get my seat belt and door alarms to shut up.... I can however open the trunk but that is about it, is there anyway to get into the car from the trunk??????? Any input or ideas on how to get in would be greatly appreciated

I think that if you take you vin # to a ford dealer, they can look up your key code and make you a key. If not, just get a wire hanger and try to jimmy the door open.

I have read on here that you can use a long and skinny flathead screw driver, and open the rear door through the handle. Do a search, and you'll get a better description.:thumb:

Lift the rear door handle and there is a slot. Inset a small screwdriver and fiddle around. The door will unlock easily.

You won't be able to get through the trunk, especialy if you cut your power lock wires. I'd suggest calling AAA if you have it, they can pull the interior door handle. If not, call a locksmith.

getting in the trunk isnt gonna happen unless you dont mind destroying you back seat. on my old GL i used a coat hanger and about 45 mins of practice until i got it.
the trick is bend it in a u shape and try grabbing something near the lock (something you can figure out on your own)

the way the seats bolt in if your wondering (backseat) is 2 bolts in the bottom corners of the back rest part and 3 hooks that sit in the top.
like i said your gonna have to mess something up pretty bad to get in threw there .

A good locksmith can pick the door lock in a few minutes.

My grandmother had it done for $50.

If this is a GEN 2 and you stick a screw driver in that front slot of the rear door handle you will wonder why you even bother to lock the car at all it's so easy to pop the lock.

Next time just unhook the wire going to the ignition switch under the wheel trim cover- it'll stop the incessant "bonging" when the door, etc, is opn and the key is in... Not sure about the belts, though?

No, lift the rear door handle and the two slots that the hinges go through the door.

I think it's the front slot, stick a small 6" screwdriver in there and push up, you will catch the rod and push up the lock.

Usually in less than 5 seconds.....

Will it work on any other door? Does it have to be the right or left rear?

Ok I'm attempting this right now, as I locked myself out of the car. When I stick the screwdriver in, I feel a cable. If I push down, I can see the lock coming down. When I push up, it does nothing. Am I missing something?

Ok this is a no go. Also, I meant that when I push the cable up, the lock kinda comes down abit. Push down on the cable, and it does nothing. I tried pushing the cable forward, etc. Locksmiths around the area seem to want to charge $100 bucks to open it. Any other suggestions would be much appreciated!!!
