I've been told the windstorm CAI can get you gains up to 15hp. I've also been told you get no gains and it just makes the turbo's more audible. Anyone have insight on this?
thanks

I have the K&N. I don't know if it makes any more power, but it does sound cool. Someone posted a 5hp gain at 5000rpm, I think.

If you're going for turbo sound - use the MDesign CAI! I had one for a year and it's very cool-looking with carbon fiber and for whatever reason I heard the turbos most with this one.

And NO, these CAI do not add any HP! A member on here went to the 1/4 mile track with several of these CAIs and his 1/4 mile time was about dead equal including the STOCK box. So, you'll be spending $250 - $350 just to hear some turbo swoosh sounds.

I think the Airaid/Windstorm CAI extends the power curve but does not add additional peak HP...But that was only with LMS testing with a tune...

While there are gains to be seen with the Windstorm throughout the powerband, the real benefit comes when it is paired with the tune to optimize the flow of air coming into the engine allowing more power and more efficient operation.
