What range does your AO tune cover - meaning is it from 91 - 100 octane or what range? Yesterday I put about 3 gallons of E85 then filled the rest with 93. I'm not sure what octane this gives me but car is doing fine. How high can I go....?
I was told 87-95 and you should be data logging if on the stock HPFP to be sure you are safe outside of that. They offer separate tunes for e30.

I just had my car on an AWD Mustang Dyno with the newest LMS tune. I have the most current version: 93 V11, 3-bar, gapped plugs, Windstorm CAI, 160 thermostat. I also have Magnaflow cat-back. I've had LMS tune since about 1,000 miles. Car currently has 45,000 miles. *I've been extremely happy with LMS.* But I keep getting missed shifts between 2-3 (more often than not) and there's hesitation (minor sputtering) under WOT at highway speeds. The car is in perfect condition, very well maintained, I've overfilled (just barely) the transmission as advised, injectors been cleaned, etc. Car has a brand new PTU installed in 2017 under warranty, and all maintenance done more often then recommended. I don't know if it's the tune or the car...

BUT, we're going to find out. I'm going to install the canned Gearhead tune later this week. Same exact mods I have now but switching from LMS to Gearhead. I'm going to run the car on the same dyno after the Gearhead install and report back. And I'm going to see if the shifting issues go away.

Results on the Mustang Dyno for my 2014 SHO with PP with the mods listed above are: 333WHP & 390 WTQ

Gearhead = ....??? stay tuned.

2014 SHO Dyno LMS Tune
I have the almost the exact same set up accept no cat backs with downpipes.
My problem started when I put my downpipes on in received the version of V11 tune.
Sputtering at wot at 5200 RPMs every once in awhile it would pop out of 2nd gear going to 3rd followed LMS instructions topped off fluids nothing worked or got better until they revised my tune but the tune they gave me was not even half of what my first tune was. I was very disappointed they tried to tell me it was my hpfp I know better than that I physically went in had the data printed out for me on my hpfp there's no reason why it would need in upgrade unless I wanted an E30 tune

I'm currently awaiting my gear Head tune along with the LimeWire TS.
I'm really hoping this solves the problem.
How was your experience with gearhead? Very curious

Matt from Gearhead is one **** of a guy, very responsive, knowledgeable, and honest! With his tune my car shifts lightning fast, it's amazing, more power and torque than LMS, and no WOT hesitation!

Your car will be fine with that tune. I had the exact same issue with my LMS tune after installing downpipes. I immediately got a tune from unleashed that worked fine, then a month or so later I got a tune from AJPTurbo and have been running it ever since (about 9 months now). Zero issues.

Just received my gearhead tune my problems are solved no more sputtering I can't believe it that LMS tune was a virus to my car I don't like putting other companies down but I tried to reach out to them many times. I'll wait a year and see if they get any better they just don't have any credibility with me left after
All these months thinking it was my car and questioning the tune. They actually had me believing it was another issue and not the tune.

The calculator will tell you the exact octane.

Isn't it amazing?! I'm so glad I took a leap of faith and tried another tune! So very glad I did because the Gearhead tune has more power and the shifting is frikin brilliant!!!
My very words on the 1st page said LMS was my one and only tune on my car since brand new and been very happy. But the last year or so has been horrible. And same damn thing.... LMS had me chasing every little possible issue BUT their tune!!!
Hope this thread helped you out.

Did you need to purchase a new computer (tuner ) or were you able to use the livernois tuner and just purchase the new file?

You have to purchase a separate device, but it is the device that every single other tuner uses, so you can cheaply get tunes from whoever you want after that. It is worth every penny if you are experiencing any issues with an LMS tune on a 13+ car.

I went all out and got the livewie TS+
There's so much to go through in the data logging is awesome I haven't quite figured that out how to attach the file that Matt sent me with the tune. If you get a new to make sure you get the best device they have. It's worth the extra $200 to go LimeWire. And you can also store a buttload of tunes.

You are fighting 2 issues. Octane sensitivity and fuel capacity. Once you are at MBT timing under most conditions, there isn't any more room for learning. With that said my AO file will adjust up to about 94 octane ((r+m)/2). The issue with ethanol is that it requires more fuel volume than normal e10. I already set the boost limits up to what I feel comfortable with on fuel flow. Any more ethanol will drop fuel pressure lower than I am comfortable with. On the gen 2 3.5 my auto octane will compensate for up to about e30 because of the extra half point of compression and dual injection system.
