OK, so odd post here but I have to wonder if there's a weird connection here! My Blind Spot (BLIS) doesn't work all of a sudden. I was driving home yesterday and started to switch lanes, put my turn signal on first, checked mirrors and then started to move over and holy ****, there's a brand new Volvo hanging out in my blind spot! My car didn't beep at me or anything. Luckily I swerved back and he slammed his brakes on.
I have my side mirrors adjusted properly so that I see the other lanes and looks into the actual blind spot. My mirrors are not directed along the side of my car like most people - they're done correctly, but this Volvo had to be in just the most perfect/unfortunate spot and I didn't see him. To be honest I don't recall if the yellow light was on in my passenger mirror.
Now, speaking of the yellow lights in the rear mirrors - anyone notice that when loading the LMS tunes, both these lights come on and stay on? Does the LMS tune somehow mess up the BLIS and possibly turn it off? I went into the dashboard settings under "Vehicle," and all 3 boxes are checked such as the rear/reverse sensor, cross traffic, and blind spot - they're on and all of them work/beep, etc except the Blind Spot!
Anyone else have this issue or even noticed?
