Hey SHOGUN, looks like the '12 has few or no changes. Seems like the changes will be on the '13. So you're doing the right thing taking the '11. Good Luck for quick delivery we all know you'll love her when she finally makes her appearance.

Showgun and I discussed this earlier today, I'm thinking that there will be very few (if any) 2012 SHOs. I'm thinking Ford will be making the 2013 available very early in 2012, and besides after EB Bob posted about the F-150, I'm thinking Ford is going to be doing most of the Ecoboost engine for F-150 production.

I counted all my CEF. Tune Files.... Currently I have 36. :dribble: :woo-hoo: NO Dyno runs... YET!

:thankyou:

Yikes Bob. I can see what you carry on race day.:)
We used to carry spare jets, plugs and a timing light; guess those days are gone.:p

Isn't technology wonderful...;)

Hey, as long as you don't change it to ******** Bob, it's cool. That name is reserved for one of the convention regulars. Also known as Bellybutton Bob. :)

Happens on light acceleration with just normal in town driving.

Why didn't you just do a dealer trade? I got mine that way within 1 day.

Believe me, I've asked that question a few times lately.:rolleyes:

I'm not too disappointed with having driven the Honda trade-in thru the winter months tho........so it's not all bad.

But now the decent weather has arrived -- I'm anxious now to take possession.

It should be in this week or next. :)

On the hard shifting tranny: if it's bothersome and happens a lot, I'd contact Rick at Livernois for advice.

If it happens only occasionally, I wouldn't worry too much since the tune does modify the shifting quality to some extent and should firm it up noticeably.
Rick could put your mind at rest, and I'm sure he would be pleased to answer any querries.

G/L
Colin.

I thought that the Livernois Stage 2 Tune only tunes the Engine (ECM) and not the Transmission parameters (TCM). Am I wrong???

If I'm right, just go to Liv. Stage 3 Tune which also tunes the Tranny.

Two things, first I have not experienced the harsh shifting, and I've been running the Stage 2 tune since the beginning of the year. Second, I'm sure Rick can confirm, but I believe Stage 2 does change some tranny perimeters, but with torque management, Stage 3 is the same engine perimeters as Stage 2, but with NO torque management for the transmission. Hope this helps.

You may be correct, as I've not run this tune. I have it, but have only run Livernois stage 4.

The only time mine shifts hard is when I'm power-braking it, and go to WOT. Very hard shifting between 1 & 2 much of the time, on new asphalt, which has mucho grip. Less noticeable at the strip. When the Flex was stock, I had what I would call erratic shifting under certain conditions, but never harsh or clunking. Most of my driving has been with Torrie's tunes, and until recently, his 2-Bar Boosted (High Boost) Tune, which I received from him a year ago.

Straight from the horse's mouth:

Rick said:
The stage 1 has transmission modifications with reduced torque management

The stage 2 and 3 tunes are identical, except the stage 2 has torque management and the stage 3 does not.

The Stage 2 has raised boost, increased timing, and transmission modifications with reduced torque management.

The Stage 3 has raised boost, increased timing, and transmission modifications with no torque management.

The has 4 has more boost, more timing, and no torque management.

Sorry Rick. Today you're a horse ... :p

I just contacted Livernois about the Tune. Hopefully a well-versed sales rep hollas back and gets in touch with me.

If anyone else would like to PM me, that would be great! I'm looking for the best advice I can get, and this forum seems to have the most knowledgeable people

No worries Michael....Their tech team is second to none ...

BTW, have you flashed back to stock to see how the car acts or are you waiting to hear from Livernois and going from there?

I switched to stage 4 last night and the shift are much softer then 2. I know that seems seems weird but stage 2 the shifts appear to be harder. As I stated before I have experienced the same light excel hard shift you described. But since I've been on this forum I believe I have heard others mention also.
