What mods do you need that enables you to use the 4x tune?...I have there windstorm CAI , 160 thermostat, 3 bar and .030 plugs and I was told that the 93 v8 was the hottest tune that I can get with what I have.....Rich

V8 tune is for the 2013+, the numbered tunes (4+, 4x etc) are for 2010-12.

Mike, I presume you have a 2010-2012 since you are currently running 4+. I switched from the 4+ to the 4X last summer. The 4X requires a 3 bar map sensor (about a $50 part). The 4X is definitely more aggressive but is still a very comfortable daily driver tune. It is worth a couple of tenths reduction in quarter mile times. I find it most noticeable at higher rpm. The power just stays strong all the way to the shift point. I think LME requires the 160 degree thermostat with this tune.

Running the 4X tune here. Yes the 3bar MAP and 160 are required to run this tune. Throttle response is better over 4+. Takes very little throttle to get up to highway speeds. I would recommend getting it. Been running since June 2014, and have a trip to Milan Dragstrip for LME CAD back in Oct. Still got 25 mph, running between 65-75 on the highway.

Bam is correct. You need the 3bar MAP and 160 t-stat.

I'm currently running the 4x-Plus and use my SHO for a DD. It behaves like an untuned SHO, unless your foot gets heavy...and stays heavy.

I'm also seeing 25+ mpg (did net 28mpg on a recent trip) and throttle response is instant.

A 3bar and t-stat for this tune is basically insane to NOT have.

The t stat is crucial right away? Or can I download the 4x tune with just changing 3 bar map for a few weeks before doing the t stat

Highly recommend the tstat...I've ran the 4x tunes with and without. Not much of a difference in daily driving on the temps....but on long pulls over a 100 there is a huge difference in coolant temps. 10-15*, run top temps of 201-205 with tstat....215+ without

Yeah, I'd say he'd be ok. I just know that you can get comfortable just looking at the generic temp gauge on the dash because it is barely noticeable there. Monitoring it and datalogging without it the temps would rise very rapidly at the top end.

So, don't put it off....and understand these higher temps will shorten the life of your oil and pull timing (noticed logging at high temps).

I believe LME only sells the one TStat for your SHO, Even Flo is the correct one. Probably have to reuse the OEM gasket, so don't throw it away :)

installed the livernois thermo the 3 bar map and the 4 plus X tune from the 4 plus that was on the car today, i have a question, the car does have an mdesign intake on it but after doing this work to the car today the blow off is highly audible, its not like the "wooshing" sound either almlost sounds like a "squeak" of air as i build boost and let of the gas, all hoses clamps and tubes are tightly connected i triple checked after i test drove the car, what could this be? their are no lights or codes either when i plugged it into the computer......anyone else have this?? its now the 93 4x tune 3 bar and thermo from the 4 plus

Yup...we've all had this sound change...from woosh to a honk almost, more squeaky in the colder temps though. Guess it's the waste gate I think.

Okay at least I'm not the only one I thought I left a hose disconnected or I messed something up. Definitely got some wheel hop from first to second.....and on the tuner itself the 4x tune comes up as 4px is this correct
