Does anyone here run the bosch plug wires? I have them on my 92 (stolen from my 90) and they seem like they make the engine lazy on hills like they cant conduct enough current. Maybe its just me. Also they are 7mm. I got them at autozone and they were only $90 but they dont clip onto the DIS like the originals either. What wires should i put on my 90 if it ever runs again?

As everyone on the forum will tell you... ONLY EVER USE MOTORCRAFT PLUGS AND WIRES!!!! And if your plug wells seep oil, change the valve cover gaskets before you bother replacing the plugs and wires, and sop up all the oil and clean them out before you remove the spark plugs. Dirt can get in the cylinder and score the walls, then you've got a big problem. The oil will cause a misfire and otherwise poor running conditions. The stock Ford wires are 8mm I believe, so you're getting robbed of current there, and depending on what kind of plugs you are running, you won't get full performance. The Autolite APP3924 are too tall to allow the spark plug boot to seal to the valve cover allowing dirt and oil to get by. They also reportedly have a short lifespan. Hope this helps.

You will notice the difference with the Motorcraft WR-4033 wires for $84 from FordPartsNetwork.com and the Motorcraft AGSP32PP plugs for $3.99 ea also from FPN. You can possibly get the plugs slightly cheaper ($3.79 O'Reilly) from a local source so call around. You cannot increase performance with plugs and plug wires, but you can sure lose performance with the wrong parts.
