Having put two wheels off on the uphill turn after getting a hair exhuberant on good street tires (and having the common sense not to **** the wheel but very slowly steer her back on the track), I have to agree on what they did there, also, the downhill going to the main straight was a a bit of rollover hazard before. Rest of the changes? Don't like them.

Not sure I'll ever hit 120 on the main straight again . . . maybe on sticker A6s with a cam'ed 3.2?? One can dream.

Why would the front straight be slower? Looks like the downhill to the front straight stayed the same.

I don't remember if from before the bridge to the front straight I was 100% flat in the 89, but I remember when I timed on the clock I had to lift a little coming on to the front straight, where before in the previous sessions I had been flat from the turn in onward.

The uphill after the backstraight is a FWD car dream, you have to be so much less careful than a RWD car. I used to pick up some decent revs there getting the front tires in the air. very fun.

Well, in my mind the downhill curve (and therfore the straight) will be a little slower because you can't carry as much speed through the revised uphill/chicane. I have not driven the revised track.

Never thought about the curves between the uphill and the downhill from an RWD prospective, as I too was standing on it in third though that stretch (only to chicken just a hair entering the downhill to main straight)

Rickie I suggest we aim for the CART event on June 17, it should only cost $10 or $15 to join that club. I would love to do NHIS again and promise not to pass 3 abreast on the main straight again ;-)

This sounds great - do you know who to contact for more info? Also - what kind of cars are limited to this event as I don't own a SHO?
