Lights Flickering?!?

Ok, so I started noticing that my headlights are flickering a couple days ago...then I further noticed that ALL of my llights flicker: headlights, tailights, domelight, dash lights...everything. Does anybody have any idea what may be the cause, and how serious this is, or how to fix it for that matter?

Frist what year is your SHO and do you have any aftermarket amps in your car.

alternator most likely is on its way out...it could be something as simple as the battary terminals need cleaning though. check out all major grounds, battary cabling, and connections. it could be a bad battary too. many repair places can test it for you to pin point the problem

I have a 3.0L '94 Taurus SHO, no aftermarket amps.

I just replaced the alternator cuz it died on me, like a month ago. I also bought a new battery and cleaned the connectors. But I called a dealership and it turns out there is a re-call for the headlamp switch, or something like that, that can cause flickering of lights... So I'm takin it in today to get the re-call done, and I'll go from there...

I'm having the same problem with the flickering lights! The problem is that I just bought this car a few months ago, so I don't know if it was doing it before the new alternator was installed. (It had a new alternator installed before I got it). I checked all the connections/grounds, and everything seems to be tight. Maybe I should just take the alternator out and have it checked.??
