It is well known stock headlights suck... and even after getting some aftermarket fogs installed in the stock locations, I am still not happy with the amount of light.

I live way up north, and in the fast approaching winter months we only get 7-8 hours of light per day.

So, do aftermarket light bars exist for these cars? or has anyone fabricated one, or have any good ideas for a light bar that might look good?

Your best option would be to look into an aftermarket headlight harness, and a good pair of high wattage bulbs. You can run an 80w low and 110w high beam with no problems.

Im not sure on the quality of this harness, i think there was one offered by piaa (someone correct me if im wrong) but you can use this as an example.

EDIT:

I found the harness that a lot of members here use. It is from suvlights.com, and is actually cheaper now than it was in the past.

Is your car a Gen 1 or 2?

After new housings, good bulbs (Sylvania Xtravisions, in my case), suvlights.com harness, and some decent driving (not fog) lights, I've got about as much light as I can use.

Oh, and aim it all correctly.
