We need to get a little more organized, no? :)

Here's the things that are coming up:

--Denny--
- Needs a place and people to help with his clutch job and supertopsecretproject trans install
- Help needed asap I assume

--Robbie (shoisfast) from New Mexico travels to MI/OH--
- We're not exactly sure when Robbie will be leaving New Mexico, but it should be between the 3rd of July and the 5th. From there he will be picking up my 93 green ATX from Michael (F22 Raptor SHO) and then driving to Arkansas where his wife will be dropped off at her sister's place. The trip will continue on from there, it is anticipated that if he leaves on the 4th that he'll arrive here on the 7th. (3 days travel)

While Robbie is here he'd really like to meet up with as many SHO fanatics as he can so I hope that we'll have a huge crowd that shows up to meet him. I'm not sure what we'll do in the mean time or exactly where we'll be meeting. I think either Toledo area or Monroe. Jim has expressed interest in having something at his place so I guess we'll have to play it by ear.

From there we'd like to organize the troops to drive down to Cambridge Ohio to ****** Robbie to his family's home. I think it would awesome for him to have a large group going down like we usually do on road trips. :)

Robbie will be down in Cambridge for a little while. While he's down there he's going to be renting a van so he can take some belongings back with him. I have offered Robbie my old 3.0 motor (that is currently at Bill's house) for his newest car he purchased that has a bad motor in it. I'd like to see if anyone would be willing to help me get the motor down to the Monroe/Toledo area. I'd also like to ask if anyone would be willing to store that motor until Robbie comes to pick it up. I spoke with Jim about this and he may be able to help out on getting the motor down there, but nothing is approved just yet since he'd need to use his dad's new truck to do it.

Oh yeah, one more thing. :) I will need to bribe someone to come and pick me up and take me down there so I can pick up the 93 and join in the festivities.

--Ryan--
Ryan still needs help getting that 91 of his running. We should see what we can do about that.

--Perry--
Perry's past the point of no return with his car, the motor/trans came out the top the other day so I'll be making a trip down to take a look at his trans. I don't know that he needs any other help or not but be prepared in the event he does. Perry has helped pretty much all of us out in the past (especially me), so it's time to return the favors. :)

--Kurt--
Kurt, did you get your car figured out yet? If not let's get you added to the list here.

--SHO Club National Convention--
Amongst all of this stuff we also have the SHO Club National convention just around the corner. If you plan on going it's best to get yourself registered NOW.

There are no more rooms from what I understand in either of the hotels, however I have a room that's reserved that I won't be using. If anyone is interested in taking that room get in touch with me either via email or PM and we'll get it transferred into your name. I will be going down for a day, but due to circumstances beyond my control I can't stay the entire time. :frown: I plan on going down and possibly staying over 1 night and leaving the next afternoon.

--Maumee Bay anyone?--
I'd like to organize another Maumee Bay meet for Saturday August 13th. That seems like a pretty good date to me with enough of a gap between the convention and the beginning of the school year for those of you with kids or those of you who attend college or school.

Festivities would begin whenever people started to show up, of course I would be there to reserve our spot early. I think I can also borrow a nice tent from my neighbors that is large enough to cover 2-3 picnic tables. We would need people to bring a little something to cook out and if someone could bring a grill that would be nice. They have grills there.....but yuk, they're usually pretty nasty.

--BIG Labor day meet in SE Michigan, Huntervf's return--
Next on the big list is Hungervf's return to Michigan. This one should be a hoot! See the following topic for complete details.

Anyone who needs help that's not listed, speak up! As a group we need to stick together and help each other! :thumb:

Now on with the discussion!

I don't think there are any caravans set up yet, at least none that I know of. I think what we should do is set up a day or days (some folks might want to drive down on Sunday instead of Monday) and then times for each day. And of course, a meeting spot for everyone.

I'm trying to get something set up meet wise. Maumee is a ways off, but at least that way everybody can mark their calendars. We could also meet up at QS&L or even the place up in Utica. I can't for the life of me remember the name of it right now, but the last one we had there had a really nice turnout.

I need help but no one is around my way to help.

i honestly think my 3.2 is going on SHONGO and chuck replaced it. I've yet to figure out the problem. BUT IMO i think i have bad blow by.... blue smoke, burns 2 quarts of oil in 1k miles IF THAT... say i get on it... i stop for a second it starts to get really tickety... but when i shut it off and turn it back on it stops until i hit high revs... power down low doesnt seem to great aswell. top end still has enough to grab second pretty hard but down low it feels like a dog. Ask Jim(ShoRacer14)

If i could have some help diagnosing or finding me a spare 3.2 block to "Build up and get cammed for my SC build im going to plan on doing this winter after i receive my AF
Bonus enlistment of 12k for Special forces.

It would be much help if this could be done.
Thank you all Tri-State people.

At this point my departure is up in the air.I have to wait for my check to come in and that should be on the first as the third falls on a sunday(my usual payday) but with the postal service it may come on the fourth so we are looking for a departure date of sunday the third or at the latest the fifth.I will be calling and giving updates on the way ,might even be able to make a post some where on the trip.My wife still is not sure if she is coming or not so it might be that tool and alice in chains will be my only co-pilots .or if I get in my depressed mode the cure and the smiths .LOL

Back in Michigan ... again.
The big party is still definitely a go. Last I knew in talking with John this was also going to be a tri-state meet? Could we handle two big tri-state meets in less than a month?

Incidently, I'm considering other places for the party... the CEG guys sound like they want to get involved and it could become fairly large. I'm open to other ideas... I was thinking of doing a BBQ or something at a park in SE area? I don't want to dip too far south or north since a lot of west side guys will be coming too.

I might even have the grand unveiling of my 94 ATX then, suppose it's running and anyone cares about a ATX.

I might be interested in going to meet Robbie in the Monroe area as I think i'm free that weekend. It would be nice to get some meets going, and it would be nice if I could attend some too! I've been so busy lately, and I'm really sorry I haven't been on here much. But I will definately be settling down here soon, so I hope I can see some of you guys and make it to some meets! Party on!

From the way things look now, Robbie will be leaving his home in NM probably on the 4th but possibly sooner. He'll be keeping me posted as to his progress by phone once he's on the road so we'll know what day he'll be getting to MI/OH.

A couple of changes though. He won't be renting a van in Ohio so my 3.0 doesn't need to get transported down there. And the most exciting change is that Robbie's wife will be coming out with him! Too bad for Jim that his daughter isn't coming too. :p

I still need to beg a ride down there whatever day it is. My car took a dump today (billowing clouds of smoke and all) so I've got no way to get down there at all. Before I figured perhaps I could make my son take a day off work and he could drive the 93 back, but that's out of the question now. :frown:

Where are you begging rides to and from beth? shouldnt be too hard, theres lots of loyal sho enthusiasts here in MI. :naughty:

I nominate ryans house for all future meets...he's got a big driveway, and plenty of roadside parking available :D Plus it's close to Toledo, which if i hear correctly, is a blast.

From where I live in the boonies (I'm on the skirts of Clay Twp.) down to Monroe or Toledo, where ever we make a final decision for meeting up. Jim has expressed interest in having it at his place in Toledo, though I don't know exactly where Jim lives. I know where Perry lives though. :)

Ryan does have a great place for meets. We've always had a great time there. :thumb:

i've been to st. claire shores many times, its about 30 minutes (to an hour depending on I-94  ), from my house. Can't say i've ever been to clay township, but it looks to be a nice place.

I'm for hire if you ever need to bum a ride
