We need to get a little more organized, no?
Here's the things that are coming up:
--Denny--
- Needs a place and people to help with his clutch job and supertopsecretproject trans install
- Help needed asap I assume
--Robbie (shoisfast) from New Mexico travels to MI/OH--
- We're not exactly sure when Robbie will be leaving New Mexico, but it should be between the 3rd of July and the 5th. From there he will be picking up my 93 green ATX from Michael (F22 Raptor SHO) and then driving to Arkansas where his wife will be dropped off at her sister's place. The trip will continue on from there, it is anticipated that if he leaves on the 4th that he'll arrive here on the 7th. (3 days travel)
While Robbie is here he'd really like to meet up with as many SHO fanatics as he can so I hope that we'll have a huge crowd that shows up to meet him. I'm not sure what we'll do in the mean time or exactly where we'll be meeting. I think either Toledo area or Monroe. Jim has expressed interest in having something at his place so I guess we'll have to play it by ear.
From there we'd like to organize the troops to drive down to Cambridge Ohio to ****** Robbie to his family's home. I think it would awesome for him to have a large group going down like we usually do on road trips.
Robbie will be down in Cambridge for a little while. While he's down there he's going to be renting a van so he can take some belongings back with him. I have offered Robbie my old 3.0 motor (that is currently at Bill's house) for his newest car he purchased that has a bad motor in it. I'd like to see if anyone would be willing to help me get the motor down to the Monroe/Toledo area. I'd also like to ask if anyone would be willing to store that motor until Robbie comes to pick it up. I spoke with Jim about this and he may be able to help out on getting the motor down there, but nothing is approved just yet since he'd need to use his dad's new truck to do it.
Oh yeah, one more thing.
I will need to bribe someone to come and pick me up and take me down there so I can pick up the 93 and join in the festivities.
--Ryan--
Ryan still needs help getting that 91 of his running. We should see what we can do about that.
--Perry--
Perry's past the point of no return with his car, the motor/trans came out the top the other day so I'll be making a trip down to take a look at his trans. I don't know that he needs any other help or not but be prepared in the event he does. Perry has helped pretty much all of us out in the past (especially me), so it's time to return the favors.
--Kurt--
Kurt, did you get your car figured out yet? If not let's get you added to the list here.
--SHO Club National Convention--
Amongst all of this stuff we also have the SHO Club National convention just around the corner. If you plan on going it's best to get yourself registered NOW.
There are no more rooms from what I understand in either of the hotels, however I have a room that's reserved that I won't be using. If anyone is interested in taking that room get in touch with me either via email or PM and we'll get it transferred into your name. I will be going down for a day, but due to circumstances beyond my control I can't stay the entire time.
I plan on going down and possibly staying over 1 night and leaving the next afternoon.
--Maumee Bay anyone?--
I'd like to organize another Maumee Bay meet for Saturday August 13th. That seems like a pretty good date to me with enough of a gap between the convention and the beginning of the school year for those of you with kids or those of you who attend college or school.
Festivities would begin whenever people started to show up, of course I would be there to reserve our spot early. I think I can also borrow a nice tent from my neighbors that is large enough to cover 2-3 picnic tables. We would need people to bring a little something to cook out and if someone could bring a grill that would be nice. They have grills there.....but yuk, they're usually pretty nasty.
--BIG Labor day meet in SE Michigan, Huntervf's return--
Next on the big list is Hungervf's return to Michigan. This one should be a hoot! See the following topic for complete details.
