I would like to say i respect the postion of law enforcement and protecting people from causing accidents.
From knowing people in law enforcement every area seems to have its own judgemnt on what degree of tint is legal. but the bottom line is any modification to your front, rear windows, and windshield is technically illegal. Now being a public official is a tuff job. in an area saturated by state and local officials like mine there are reduced accidents, and crime. this in the long run is a catch 22. as soon as crime reduces officials need reasons for the amount of police. now these people have families to feed and they begin to look for any possible violation (not to be jerks) but to keep there job..bottom line. and we would all do it.
this useallt happens(around in my area anyway) about the last part of a month.
the last SHO was in 99 and there a more gen 2's from what ive seen so its a used car and if you purchased it with the tint installed you may just be talked to.
i dont know if this helped or will help anyone but i just thought id share some of the info ive collected

most states have laws that say what u cna have and what u can't. i believe it cna be 20% in the rears in 35% up front. or is it vice versa. whichever ones is darker can be in the rear.
