Hi! I recently put on Eibachs and Tokicos. Tommarow I'm bringing it back in for spacers (my spring pads rub). I wanted to have a jump start on my mechanic so i thought id try and pull some info from the gurus.
Whenever i make a left turn (since i got the new suspension) there is a moaning noise from my left wheel. It doesnt sound like steering line squeal, more like the tire is rubbing on the subframe. Only problem is i cant see any rub spots on the tire?! I know that this isnt nearly enough info to completely diagnose the problem but i just thought i would look for suggestions of questions to ask tomarow when i bring it in.
Thanks.

Also look for rub spots on the wheel well liner. That will be the biggest indicator of any rubbing that I know of.

Scott Patterson has posted some info in the past on wheel groaning. Here's a post of mine from way back that has some good info in it.

My problem ended up being the subframe plate nut recall kit being installed incorrectly. Long story, but that's something to check as well.

Sorry I couldn't help more. Good luck and keep us posted.

Check your wheel bearings, too.

Jack up the corner, grab the wheel at 6 and 12 oclock, and see if there is any play in the hub. Repeat with your grip at 3 and 9 oclock positions.

This checks for tie rod end play, ball joint play, and gross failure of the wheel bearing. You will have to analyze any movement you might observe.

Just be aware that the bearings can be noisy, but not yet degraded enough to cause movement.
