Ive got the SHOShop catted y-pipe, and now that the weather is warm and the windows are frequently open while driving, i cant help but notice the annoying exhaust rasp coming from some phantom leak in and around the y-pipe area. Now i know that this y-pipe, being in several pieces, could lend itself to leaks, but how common is this? Is it normal or could it point to too much backpressure due to a clog? The resonator pipe, and mufflers are both dynomax and only 6 months old, and the y-pipe is no more then 7 months old. The originial resonator pipe had a massive clog that destroyed performance before it was replaced (ironically it was only replaced because of a deteriorating end where it attached to the y-pipe, i didnt think that there was any catback clog until i pulled it off and found 90% of the pipe blocked :ruhroh: ). I guess what im trying to get at, is could there still be a smaller clog in the pipes i didnt replace thats causing the leaks up by the y-pipe, or is this a normal phenomena with the SHOShop y-pipe?
