Okay guys and gals, it's on for the 30th of December at my place.

Nick, the lift will be open for you to do that clutch job. I might be making some extreme reinforced mounts for Kyle in case anybody wants to watch and learn how to do them.

I'll be in Boston or NYC or a home town party for New Years, and home for the holidays. I can't wait. In one week I'll be on the plane. YESSSSS

See you all next year though! Oh Nick, speaking of which I have money for that one lol.

Is this meet still on? If so, I work in the morning, but can make it to dooleyville by 2pm. I would like to see your handiwork when you make those mounts for me:biggrin:

I'm planning to be up there tomorrow. Ready to change the strut and borrow a hammer off Tom and bash any clutches.

Soooo, does that mean you're going to be here?:laugh_ti:

Just kidding there Mikey. But if you don't SHO up, I can't give you this neato Christmas gift that Mitzi and I think is just perfect for you. Oh well, there's room in the freezer I guess, it'll keep. See you next meet.

Looks like Joshua has got a pretty good brain freeze goin on there.

Had a good get together though, even with-out the ice cream. Nick (the Clutch Master) tackled Dan's clutch and new sub frame bushing job on his beatiful red 91.

Troy brought his engine back out on a stand and I showed him how to check valve shim clearances. He didn't have any that needed re-shimming.

I also walked him through putting in new rod bearings. He had one upper rod bearing the had a flaked section, but we couldn't find any damage to the journal. checked 3 of the six journals with plastigage and all were in the .0025 to .003" range. Cleaned out the oilpan and windage tray and crank brace and buttoned her back up.

And finally, Rav and Eric silenced the Knock Monster of the Gen 3's on Rav's car.

A good productive meet and nobody got hurt. Can't beat that.

Tom

Was a really good meet.

Everybody seemed to be really working away and we got a lot done as Tom said. The clunk seems to have been silenced but it seems to good to be true. Thanks to Eric, I think that I could do and I think I did a lot of the work on my own.

Nik really does seem the really clutch master, especially as he seemed to get the job done without me having to bash on anything.

Troy seemed to be doing some weird things to the engine but the less said about that the better!

There were some really cool vehicles too. The jeep was really nice (I'm bad with names but I believe it belonged Dustins brother). A clean '91.

Tom as usual great and generous host, with a really cool new truck!!

Thanks everyone, have a safe and happy new year and see you all soon.

Rav.

P.S. To all that couldn't make it see you next time.

P.P.S. Tom if you want to do the straight up trade for the SHO the offers still open.

I would like to thank everyone for their help on Saturday, especially Tom and Nick. Nick, very impressive work with the 91, the clutch pedal is smooth as glass, and those new bushings keep the front end feeling very tight.

It was great to finally meet you guys andI hope to see you all next time I am out west.

Thanks again,

Happy New Year

Dan
