Lamp Out Indicator

I have a 95ATX with 56k that has the Lamp Out Indicator coming on frequently. It happens day or night. During the day, driving without hitting the brakes or ANY electrical item it comes on. Sometimes it glows, sometimes bright. It ONLY happens in a gear. (R, D, 1,2.) All bulbs or coming on with equel brightness. Sometimes if it is glowing, and the brake pedal is depressed, it will go from a glow to a bright lamp.

Any ideas? Please help...this light is driving me crazy.

Did you install an aftermarket center stop light?
If so, you probably did not connect it correctly causing the indicator to come on.
Another thing is that if you install the wrong bulbs the same thing would happen.

The LAMP OUT indicator senses the integrity of the headlights, brakelights and taillamps. Have you checked all of them?

I have checked all lamps. All are coming on nice and bright. I have the stock led center brake lamps. What is so stange is that the lamp out indicator ONLY comes on in gear. R, D, 1, 2. It comes on during the day when I am just driving along with no lights on, or brakes activated. Pretty wierd, huh?

Any other ideas?
