NP SHO It only scrapes the nose or core support on occasion, never had the bttm of car scrape a speed bump or rise. The only problem is in fl is the roads have a high crown and deep curbs for water control,so care must be taken when pulling into drives and entrances! Also i use a 3 inch alum.racing jack to raise the car to work on it but your stock jack works fine.

If you search all my posts I posted on my setup maybe it will help. I did sensatracs with moogs and it dropped it a little bit cause I cut 1 coil in front and a half in the back. Car looks great and handles nicely just rides a little rough. But I love them cloverleafs on the highway pedal down!!! If you do cut the front I would recommend getting the adjustable strut mounts from shosource.com they are awesome. Great quality and saved a lot of time on the alignment. I put my suspension in myself. If you have any questions give me a call. 330-240-8041

Konis for sure or maybe Selex. They have not been used on Coilovers yet.

You could just wait for our coilover system.

Ok, so I'm finally ordering up my springs, struts and mounts next week. Going with the SensaTrac/Moog setup. I have a couple of questions...

Since I'm replacing the mounts when I do the struts and springs can I remove the old sets as a single unit without having to compress the springs? I have spring compressors so it's not a big deal if I do have to compress them, just trying to save work.

When cutting the coils from the springs, am I correct that the coils need to be cut from the top? I've read through quite a few threads and there seems to be differing opinions as to whether you cut the top or the bottom of the spring.

If I cut the coils from the top, will I have issues seating the top of the spring in the mount?

What is the best (basic) tool to use to cut the coils? I have a compressor with a cutoff wheel. Will this work?

Thanks again for all the feedback and input guys!

Yes, and it does save time.

Cut the "dead" coils, so yes, from the top.

No. You'll no longer have a flat top coil, but as far as I know, this hasn't been an issue for anyone.

A cutoff wheel is the best way to do it. Doesn't introduce too much heat or change the temper of the spring. I prefer a cutoff wheel on an electric right angle grinder, the cutting goes a little faster, but your air powered one will do the job just fine.

So my suspension is gonna wait another week before I order it. I priced around and Summit was the cheapest, but wanting to support the community I emailed SHOSource to see if they could help me out and Matt cut the shipping costs down quite a bit. It's still going to cost me about $50 more than ordering through Summit, but SHOSource doesn't have to special order the items so I'll get them faster and help support the community as stated before. The question I have is this...
Is there a "how-to" on how to R&R the struts/springs/mounts? This is going to be my first time doing it on the SHO I and want it to go as smoothly as possible.

Are you replacing just the struts/springs/mounts, or other components as well? Reason I ask is, if you're doing other components, it changes the order of doing things a little.
