it is an mtx and has the 3.0

any idea where to get a new/reman crank w/bearings?

Just buy a 3.2L and do the conversion. You'll thank me for it later, I promise.

Found the problem.....spun bearing. ill put up pics in a bit

Here it is. It doesnt look like it had spun, just looks shot to **** to me. Crank and rod look alright to me. i will have to put some plastigage in with a new bearing and see what it comes out to.

Anyone know the torque specs for the rod caps off the top of their head?

Two stages, 25ft.lb. then 35.ft.lb.

I think.

That said, it's probably going to spin again, they always do. Good luck either way.

I was the one looking for a crank and had no luck anywhere. I talked to all the crankshaft rebuilders in the US. They all told me that no cores have been returned. I ended up finding an engine from a buddy of mine. I think I seen a crank on Keystones website. http://keystonepowdercoating.com/sho.htm I was going to buy it and then got lucky with my current engine.

Its a cheap experiment. If it goes again, ill just do a 3.2 swap or drop another 3.0 in.

i saw a crank on there. they have a huge parts listing!!! i may just get the crate block/rotating assembly if this current engine doesnt work out and use my old heads and other parts
