welp, as of 3:30 today, my sho was finally "welded" by none other than the infamous Kirk D. himself... with the aid of Mr. Anonymous
It was a pleasure to meet these guys... top notch.
Kirk is VERY thorough with the cam weld and other included services. Of course, I expected nothing less from him with the reputation he has. He treated my sho as if it was his own.. Not only that, he was a really nice guy, and easy to talk too... very down to earth.
Thanks to Rick Glass for hosting the Tennessee camfest
The 200 mile trip home was a ride! Its fun to lay into the yammerhammer w/out worrying about cam failure. It also "seemed" more responsive.
There is talk of possibly another TN camfest (Nashville) in August.
If you've been contemplating it... DO IT!
Kirk not only welds the cams, but does a very thorough cleaning of the intake runners, etc... (also including :
spark plugs
swapped coils
insulated rear wire harness
oil change/filter
New Ford gaskets)
Oh, and anything else you need done... he can do that too.

Kirk is the man thumb Even when he had the flu he spent the extra time to get my mounts ready. THANKS!
That guy Mr.Anonymous, top notch SHOman burnout
I forgot to mention these guys really know how to chop up a green SHO. I still don't understand why they didn't chop up that ATX with the bad motor shrug :p

Fred kept unplugging my sawzall...

Nashville was a blast, especially watching the 2nd half of the superbowl in a local bar with a bunch of ticked off Titans fans routing for the Panthers! Stools were flying! eek!

Oh yeah, and we enjoyed all of the nice southern cars we got to work on, even if they were ALL black! Even the two cars we've welded this week were BLACK. Enough black V8's already!!! Somebody paint one BLUE!
