Could anyone tell me where the keypad located? Just recently bought car, the trunk release is locked and i do not have the trunk key or key fob. So only way to get in trunk is keypad, right?

I searched and found that it is on the trunk lid. No help, ha. Also on the grey box to the right of the steering column, I looked all around the box with a mirror and could not find the 5 digit code. Is there anywhere else it is located, or any other way to get in the trunk easily?

Thanks for all help

Right at the back of the trunk there is a card board cover, on the top left against the back seat the module will be there and it will have the code on the sticker thats on the face of it.

Drive to a locksmith and have them pick the trunk release lock; you could even have them cut you a trunk key while you're there. Then you can get into the trunk to find the keyless entry module. IIRC, the code is hard-wired inside the module in a simple binary code, so you can read it even if there's no sticker.

i have heard some say that you can pop that trunk lock (the interior by the drivers seat) with a small flat screwdriver without damage... try to pull the plastic off too, you should be able to get in there fairly easily

Oh I missed the part where you couldn't get in the trunk. You could take apart the locking part in the car or remove the back seat and insulation and you will be in there.

This is a GenI or II, right? If so, lift the rear door handle and you'll see a small hole. Stick a small screwdriver in there and point it towards the ground, then up. You'll catch it on the lock mechanism and that'll unlock the door. From there you can open the trunk once in the car.

I had the same problem with my 89 some years back... I took off the plastic around the manual trunk release lever by the driver seat and I had to bend a piece of metal in there (I bent it back into its original shape when I was done) and it opened the trunk. Once in the trunk look underneath the rear deck on the driver side and you'll find a black box with a ton of wires coming out of it. It should have a sticker on it that will work on the keypad.

OR

You can remove the back seat (top & bottom pieces), pull the isulation blanket looking thing out of the way and access the keyless entry module through there.
