Keyless Entry Stopped Working?

hi all,
I did a search but came up empty. I hadn't driven the sho in several months and the keyless remote stopped working. my car had the dealer installed remote. I tried replacing the battery in the keyfob. any suggestions? TIA

I had a similar issue after the battery died, does the keypad on the door still work? if the door pad works, and the battery in the remote is new, you'll need to re sync the remote to the unit in the trunk, which involves grounding a wire and going through a sequence. Search on here and see what you can find about that process, that's what I did but it's been a while.

occasionally, the actual remote will die. this is more of an issue on GM remotes than Ford ones, but sometimes they go bad. some of the auto parts stores have a little display where you can press the button on the remote and the display will light up if the remote is actually working - I would find one of those and test it.

I don't have a door keypad because the remote was a dealer installed item (ford on the keyless remote). i'll look for one of those remote testers and do a search to find out how to synch my remote. TIA
