Is it possible to retro-fit a factory remote keyless entry into a '93? To explain further...I know anything is possible...but, can you plug and play a keyless system and wiring harness into a car not originally equiped?
TIA

Yes and no. It's not a plug and play set up; the connectors ar just not there. You can add it though if you have access to a parts car that has it. You will just need to get wiring harnesses that go with the system as well as the module and the trunk lock actuator. You could get the door keypad also but it your going to use the remotes that a lot of trouble.

Keyless entry doesn't come on a 93?

I just bought a 93 MTX that has a keyless entry system (number pad outside the door as well as your standard remote - lock, unlock, trunk & panic button). Date of manufacture is 12/92.

This setup is non-stock? (Should I add that to my sig block? :p )

Keyless entry

My car came without keyless entry. I purchased a setup from Ford and had it installed. Worked fine. My wife, who is a nontypical woman i.e. she hates to spend money, asked for a remote starter for her 2000 SLO. I thought it was a giant waste of money and would be a real PIA, but hey, she wanted it so I had one installed. Her car sits in the sun all day so she starts it 15 minutes before leaving work. She no longer gets into an oven in the summer, and it's completely warm in the winter. Unit has a range of about 1500 feet and IMHO is a great addition. I had one installed on my ATX car, love it. It does door and trunk locks also.
