my question goes along with this one: my sho has every option - except keyless touchpad entry.

i'm wondering if all shos have the same wiring harness and "brain" that would allow me to just swipe a keypad off of a junkyard taurus/sho...or would i have to get the computer reprogrammed and/or buy a computer to recognize the keypad. my assumption is that yes, the wiring harness is the same...but i'm not sure about the computer module....

does this make sense?

hmm...the forum seems pretty quiet so far...you guys a quite active group? i have to admit...i'm a domestic performance boy...so i frequent the impala ss forums (the impala is my dream car - even though the sho is sweet). they're always talkin and answerin' right away...

so i guess i'm just curious...does no one have any idea about the keyless entry on a sho, or is the anticipated wait a little longer than i've been patient thus far?

i'm not being a ****...so please don't read this wrong....

Does your car have the factory keyless entry remote? If it does, look in the trunk at the keyless module located adjacent to the driver side rear strut tower. Does it have a ton of wires coming out of it, or just 5 or 6? It may, and I say may have been possible that your door was replaced with another one that didn't have the keypad. I say this b/c all that was part of a group package from the dealer.

Well on MY SHO which doesnt have keyless at all by the way the keypad module is there with a plug in it.

All you need to do is get the module pad and cut a hole...viola....

easy to see if you have it. 2 screw and like 12 panel pops to take the door off...the screw are at the little pocket panel and like right inside the door handel pull. Also the sail panel at the top must come off...

the plug if it is there will be at the back of the door by the corner light.
