( posting this for a friend, but I can't help him ) - I've never done an alternator swap myself, so I'm just as curious.

for the 1st time ever on a car

gen 2, 95 MTX

replaced the alternator, and all the plugs.

Problem is I didn't chalk the belt.

I got the car to start but it's not running right..

How do I adjust the T belt so everything is in timing etc..

rookie mistake, but I jsut want to get back to running 100%

Thanks

I'm sure he means accesory belt, there is no alignment for the accesory belts.
He probably has the spark plug wire routing messed up from changing the plugs. You can find the correct routing on here.
If that's not the case and the check engine light is on he will have to learn how to read the codes if he wants to fix it himself.

To get to the timing belt you would need to take off a lot more crap than the alt.:) Im going to go with messed up plug wire routing too! :) Good luck
