It even came with a cool custom bumper and a metal seat!

TLDR: I am going to swap my drive train into this and push it till it runs 10.9’s or explodes.

This will be a build thread. I never attempted to swap a modern drivetrain so many wires and tubing and ****, time to learn.

First thing I have to figure out is how to get it in my ****** garage

I feel like the listing would have said something like, excellent maintenance history, adult owned, all fluids changed recently, with newer brakes all the way around, great all around platform with twin turbskis!! lol

It’s certainly one **** of a power move to buy the lightest Ecoboost SHO for your Drag Car Build!!! Swapping in your drivetrain should be an automatic 10 sec pass. I think you’d get another 1/2 a second bc of the weight differences to your 11.4 moderately stripped 17 SHO.

It’s going to be fun for sure. It’s already already starting to cool down at night here in Texas. Hot track surface with cooler air sounds promising but I’m not to sure how long it will take me to do the swap tbh maybe 2 months. Then beat the life out of the drive train for a couple months?

What are you going to do with your current SHO once it becomes a rolling chassis.

It sounds good on paper, almost too good. We’ll know for sure when tuning is wrapped up hopefully next week. It should have more power than in previous runs. My torque has been limited to 500 up to this point resulting in a best 60 time of 1.68. Of course the lighter chassis will already result in quicker times but my thought is if can another 50 torque to the wheels using the 17’s with some meat up front I should be golden. I’m going to resist no2 for this season since the tracks make it a pain in the *** to run it down here.

Matt @ GHT wrapped up tuning the old SHO and got:

5B5BAC26 227F 4213 8D24 275669909CCE

The air was:
3B9E6B0B C7F8 4BC6 AE37 0CD5C4BFC944

The results are great especially given the air! I think it’s only right take the old girl out to track a couple times before the swap. I probably have another 150-200 lbs of reduction left in my heavier 17’ which has has me wondering.
