Just bought a '93.. questions inside>>

I just picked up a '93 SHO for a winter car, it's Red with spoiler, automatic transmission, and 80,000 miles. Anything I should look for? Common Problems? Etc. Thanks!

Watch the trannys ESPECIALLY if it's your winter ride because 93 was the first year the auto was offered & the tranny sucks! My first one to go was probably due to the fact I got stuck in an alley in a snowdrift & spinning the tires smoked it. Honestly though you'll see many 93 owners with rebuilt trannys. Another thing which may not be important to you since it's your winter car is the 60K mile service which entails many preventive maintenance. See here for details... other than that just keep this forum bookmarked because most every problem you can encounter will be diagnosed on here.

1993 RED ATX(3 replacements) W/shiftkit, 17" Konig Reigns, 245/45/17 Goodyear F1 Gs, 26mm ASB w/poly bushings, Tweaked stock airbox with K&N panel filter, & D4U1 computer, blazertech fogs. GTECH time 0-60 in 7.02 1/4 15.58 @ 91.
Not yet installed: 24mm ASB, 70mm MAF(Gonna try it but from what I hear it will be a waste of time), all 60K service items, & rest of the poly bushings.. GOING TO TEXAS SOON HOPEFULLY TOHAVE SDPATT & JEREMY HOHN DO 60K!

I have a 93 auto too. Yes, for sure watch out for that damn 93 tranny...trust me I know from experience. Mine went out at 93,000 miles, ironic huh?
