just a couple gen III questions

Hey guys, I recently found a 97 SHO in my area for only 1000 bucks. The title is fine, and it has 2 scratches, but I was told they are not that bad. I still haven't ever seen it. Its got 112k on it too. There is nothing wrong with it except it needs new cats. That's all I've really heard so far. It hasn't been welded, and the tranny is fine too. It doesn't have leather though. Do the gen 3 shos without leather have like half and half leather, or all cloth?? Well what do you guys think?

If I recall correctly, the cloth seats are very rare. If this car is only a grand, there must be something seriously wrong. I hope not, but this seems fishy. Best of luck. thumb

Cloth interior was rare, and all cloth. 1000 is a low low price....it may have some bad deamons hidden in it....make sure to check. Also are you sure it is a SHO? I know it sounfs stupid, but.....

Yeah, I know it does seem a little fishy. It has 2 scratches, one that looks like its been keyed, and the other from when she backed into a pole. Randy, I guess you could say I'm about 99 percent sure that it's a SHO because I have never actually seen it or seen pics of it. Who knows, maybe the scratches are pretty bad. The seller will have pics by this weekend, and I am pretty excited to see them. It also has 6 disk cd changer and moonroof.

Hey, no the seller is not located in Yankton. That's awesome that you live in sioux falls. Do you work at best buy? Hey, what are your cloth seats like. I mean are they still pretty nice for cloth?

Nope, don't work at Best Buy. The cloth seats are great (never ridden in Gen 3 leather seats). I especially like the fact that they're so unique. thumb

I've been in a GEN 3 with cloth, the seats are still large and comfortable. If you buy it, weld it asap! 100k is the suggested time to change spark plugs, it would be easy to have that done while you're getting it welded. thumb

My 97 is all cloth. I love it, would take cloth seats over leather anyday. i hate leather.

Cloth is might nice in the winter if you park outside.
