Yes, I had heard that. Couldn't find anything on their site, nor in the "hot lap" website. I did find the minutes of the Independence Township Board meeting back in 2003. Scroll about halfway down:

It's 75db at the track border. Should be fine for any of the mufflers we generally use for the street.

From the Waterford Hills website: Local ordinances require WHRRI to keep noise levels at the property line
below 75 dB. All cars MUST have an operational commercially available
muffler.

From the videos I have seen, it should be no problem keeping a SHO within the noise limits.

Just a question, do you have to be registered for the Convention to get a T-Shirt or will there be some that we can buy? Any info is appreciated..

There is a place to order shirts and hats on the registration form. you do NOT need to be registered to order, but this year we have already done all the shirts, so when we run out, we run out. Be sure to get your order in. There is a small fee to ship the shirts/hats if you just order those and aren't coming to the convention. Your items will be mailed soon after the convention.
