As to what Jeff is referencing here is a post I made on a couple facebook groups/ my youtube channel:

This isn't quite a post I want to make, but I feel as though some of you who have followed my build deserve a bit more of an in depth explanation to my reasoning.
I bought this car in 2017 as a daily with an affinity of sleepers and the ability to cause surprise and shock when 4 doors pulls away. In the last couple years I had worked to the point of having the platform record. With the youtube channel doing decent I had motivation to keep pushing and furthering my own car while also sinking in a lot of money. While I have always been really good with my finances and what not it is clear to see how much I have in the car at this point. Before I built my motor and had upgraded turbos one point I always liked to brag about was the fact that I did it on a budget and I wasn't a big build engine and big turbos guy still going mediocre times. That my times were a direct correlation to the amount of effort I had put in, but I reached a wall with that logic. I proceeded to throw money at the car with this built engine and upgraded turbos with the complimentary fuel systems and any little edge I could get.
So here comes the details about why I decided to pull the plug. I recently bought a house and with the SHO running and still wanting it's monthly share of my money funds are getting tight. 9 days ago I got stranded on the side of the highway and had to get the car towed home. When I was sitting there I had finally realized I had not been enjoying the car at all since I had finalized the engine and had the car running. That I wasn't building the car for myself for who knows how long. I had been pushing the car for youtube content and because it's a platform I already had in my hands. When I had the first start up on the built engine in february I was ready to pull the plug then because of the issues I had, but it didn't make sense to just have a car with no engine and a disassembled engine so I just pushed on to this point.. Currently I need to do a trans build to optimize the current set up and I am just not willing to spend the money on it. Essentially I am going to take the strides forward I have and stop before I get knocked back a few more. I wish I could say I hope you all will understand, but frankly I am doing this for myself and it is what it is.
Many of you have seen my part out thread and several pieces are going to notable members of the SHO community like @802SHO who honestly has a build going that is a couple steps above what mine ever would be. So he's the go to guy and honestly wouldn't have it any other way! So now the car sits on dollies once again getting ready for it's final disassembly and honestly I am the least anxious I have ever been about the car in the last year. I feel great.

You’ve been a big inspiration for me and a lot of friendly competition, thank you for all your help along the way. The only person who knows what’s best for you is you, so I’m glad you were able to make the hard decision, knowing you put yourself above all else. Gotta keep the sanity! And it’s never over, just the start of a new beginning! So put something in that roller so I can still go up against the shell lol!

Sorry to see you go. Did u have another engine issue or was the transmission having problems.
Got stranded with no trans!

What's the daily now Jordan?
Daily is the company vehicle or the wife's vehicle until I find a good deal on something I want. Debating between a few like Mustang GT, RCSB Coyote F150 and maybe even a hellcat charger. Something that would be good with a warranty and a fun weekend vehicle with the ability to go full dick on a project car. I will have a SHO roller, but haven't decided to commit to that idea or not on an engine swap. 80% not gonna happen but a coyote swap would be cool.

Go make a bunch of babies with some crazy ass white girl. What you spend on cars will be considered chump change to the family budget.

Neah really you're a younger guy I can see. Someone at your age putting money into something like this probably isn't the best idea. We've all done it though. Trust me its WAY more fun later on when the money is no big deal and you have 3-4 other cars to go drive. If you get burnt out on a car/project you just put it aside for a while. Its not about chasing a number then either its just about having fun. Thanks for all you've learned shared

I haven't been able to access SHOForum for nearly a month, due to issues with the Tapatalk app since the forum underwent an upgrade. But finally recovered my actual login credentials and logged in old school from a web browse.

A little shocked/surprised at seeing this development. But, in the same token, one can sense the frustration and emotion when viewing your video.

A lot of us have been there, done that. Myself included (more than once at that). Cringe.

If there's anything I've learned (particularly from the "older" GEN SHO owners) is that this is exactly what comes with owning a SHO.

I've always been impressed with the perseverance of the "older" folks to continue to keep pushing on. To see varying GEN 1's through GEN 3's still out there on the road, and a good handful of them at a local track, is nothing short of a testament to that perseverance/dedication.

Your explanations are sound, as are your decisions though with the aforementioned being said. Personally a little disheartened to see you go, as you've been a motivator to me as well as it relates to my current undertakings.

No one will ever fault you for doing what's best for you, and your family. Exciting times ahead with a new house. For now, rest. Take a break. Enjoy the weight/stress being lifted off your shoulders so that you can once again enjoy those high's when you do get back onto the proverbial horse. No matter which make/model vehicle you choose to pursue in the future.

All part of the rollercoaster my friend! Whee!

Well put Mike.
I agree, it’s sad to be losing a record holder, currently broken or not.

Jordan, you were a big influence on many of us, myself included. I dug your budget minded not giving F’s what other people thought style. You proved hard work and ingenuity, not piles of money could get you there. You are an example of what can be accomplished with this platform. And, have contributed much to our community.

I wish you the best in the future and look forward to what comes next. The car guy part of all of us never goes away. So, don’t be a stranger.

much respect

Thanks guys, appreciate the kind words. Little positive update from all of this! I'm completely debt free other than the house now from this part out. No more auto loan or student loans! The build is definitely going to live on in a few other projects! Just mailed off some parts all around the USA. New owner of the engine comes by Saturday to pick it up and then a buddy of mine named Chris is coming by to pick up a good bit of parts from STL. I'm happy that all these parts are going to making everyone involved a little bit quicker! I'll still be around on here and Facebook so don't get too sobby on me or anything because I'm always on some BS lol

I havent been on the forum in a hot minute either. Sorry to see ya go, like many your build was the reason I got into the the SHO game. I dont blame ya for selling the SHO. Every time I drive my car I pretty expect to it to explode which results in me not driving it as much as I used too! I have had my eye on a 5.0 F150 also, cant go wrong with that!

The chassis will not go to waste! I worked out a deal with Jordan and will pick it up in August. It’s coming to me as roller with no drive train. Wait, IT does come with a trans. Nobody was brave enough buy that hahaha.

My SHO is on the heavier side and it’s gutted so the lighter chassis will be nice. This will be my first purpose built drag car and it’s a Ford Taurus, what an idiot! I honestly can’t help it, I love quirky cars that can go fast.

First thing going into the car will be Rollbar/Rollcage. I have some time to think about the drivetrain since half the parts needed are probably back ordered and dropped shipped only at this point.

One thing that I have learned with my current SHO which is probably in the neighborhood 540-550 whp is that wider tires are better. Their is a reason @802SHO is going wide-body!
Other than that the build will basically revolve around what Raybestos can do for the trans.
I’ll put the race seat in my current SHO so I don’t die of boredom in the process. Or maybe I’ll sell my SHO? Maybe not? I have thought have about 100 different ideas on how which direction to go!

Glad it's going to still be used and someone to keep the competition going none the less!
