I have the JBL system w/ sub, no CD, '95 ATX. I do have wiring diagrams for it. I recently hooked my battery up backwards on accident (don't ask!! rant ). I blew a couple fuses, including the one for the radio. After replacing it, I found that I have absolutely no sound from the speakers. The radio controls all appear to be working (vol, tuning, etc.), but no sound. I checked for power to the main amp (larger gauge yellow wire), and it does have power. So....I figure that either the radio itself is damaged, or that the main amp is shot.

What I need is a way to test them, to figure out which of them is the problem. Any help would be MUCH appreciated!

sounds like a bad deal.

So the radio/signal is working

If it were me I would go back to the amps w/ my multimeter and do some testing

I poked around at the amp with the meter last nite, it appears that there is some sort of signal reaching it, although I'm not sure what is "normal". My money is on the amp being fried...but I would like to confirm that before I hunt down another one.

I may try hooking the radio output diretly to a speaker..even though they are low-level outputs, there should be some sort of sound produced if the radio is working, I think.
